Unleash your inner busker as the Midlands Busking Festival is officially open for entries!
The Midlands Busking Festival is a one-day event taking place in the small town of Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. The festival has been running for four years, gradually becoming more and more successful as an Independent music event. What makes the festival so unique is that it takes place outdoors on the main street in Edgeworthstown – a true busking experience.
The event acts as both a music festival and competition. Musicians perform whilst a panel of judges walk around, deciding who earns a place in the grand final that evening.
The competition welcomes all instruments and genres of music. As well as this, there are no age restrictions in place, allowing anyone with a passion for music to play. Buskers will be given a site and time to perform during the competition and are allowed to collect any money they are given during their set. Irish collection society IMRO are proud to sponsor of this event, with additional support from local business’ in the area.
