Weekly Dublin Gig Guide

With artists such as Sigrid, Erykah Badu and All Tvvins playing sold-out shows across the city this week, it couldn’t be any more obvious that the people of Dublin live for live music events. For those that missed out on a ticket, fear not! The Irish music scene is currently BURSTING with talent and there are plenty of gigs dotted around the city center this week to keep your ears occupied. Here’s Melosity’s Weekly Dublin Gig Guide:

Tuesday 20th

Ruby Sessions

Erica Cody, Molly Sterling, Nile St. James and Liam Geddes.

An incredible collection of artists hot on the music scene right now. Get there early to confirm a seat – it’ll be a busy one.

Venue: Doyle’s Pub College Green.

Doors: 9pm.

Price: €7 – all proceeds towards the Dublin Simon Community.

 

All in this Together

Feat. Carron, Safari and Brian Whittington

A brand spanking new gig series showcasing the best Irish music in town.

Venue: Whelan’s upstairs, Camden Street.

Doors: 8pm.

Price: €10 – proceeds towards Pieta House.

 

Wednesday 21st

Open Mike Eagle & Milo

Rising LA hip-hop artist modifying hip-hop to discuss his own personal experience.

Venue: The Sugar Club.

Doors: 8pm.

Price: €15.

 

Galway Street Club – Album Launch ‘Sovereign State of Madness’.

13-piece band of buskers originating from seven countries come together to create a collection of songs under the title, ‘Sovereign State of Madness’. The album combines a fusion of genres such as Folk, Gypsy Jazz, Blues and Rock; one that will suit everyone in the audience.

Venue: Whelan’s Main Room.

Doors: 8pm.

The Niall McCabe band

Set to release album number two, four-piece The Niall McCabe Band bring what they call ‘Translantic Soul’ from the West Coast of Ireland to the heart of the City Centre.

Thursday 22nd

BIMM Dublin Midnight Hour

Presenting: Kyro Jones & Pixie Cut Rhythm.

A night showcasing some of the best and upcoming talent the capital has to offer. Affiliated with Dublin’s only Commercial Modern Music College, BIMM Dublin, you’re guaranteed to spot some of the best new acts circulating the Irish music scene at the moment.

FEUDS EP Launch

Four-piece Indie/Garage Rock group celebrating the release of their first self-titled EP.

Little Hours

Paloma Faith

To hear ‘Architect’, Faith’s highly anticipated fourth album release before anyone else, treat yourself and head along to the Three Arena for this whopper show.  Whenever Paloma’s involved, you won’t be disappointed.
