After all the stormy weather, the bitter Beast from the East and Storm Ophelia, we officially made it as the Summer season has finally arrived! What better way to celebrate than to head to one of the many gigs happening around Dublin City this week? The May Bank Holiday gives us an extra day of play, bringing along some pretty unique Music Festivals to get you groovin’. Check it all out below.

Monday 30th

We-Bloom @ The Workman’s Club

Presenting: This Fresh Hell, Xo Mo and Qwasi.

A diverse and popular music night showcasing the best upcoming talent in Dublin City.

Tokio Myers – Spring Tour

Britain’s Got Talent winner 2017 and multi-instrumentalist Tokio Myers plays in Dublin as part of his first ever tour. Support from Irish Electropop artist LAOISE.

Vital Music and SSH presents: Jimmy Smyth’s Organised

Pop over to the Leeson Lounge tonight to hear some top class Jazz from Jimmy Smyth and his exceptional guitar playing, accompanied by organ and drums.

Jazz Jam Mondays

Ruby Sessions

One of Dublin’s most iconic weekly events in Music. Queue early as it is usually a busy one – acts TBA.

Dublin’s Culture Connects presents: The National Neighbourhood

Established by an organisation called WALK, Joyful Noise is an inclusive community music project for young adults which empowers people with disabilities to live self-determined lives. Joyful Noise are holding this gig to bring Dubliners and different cultures together. Entertainment on the night comes from bangin’ Electropop five-piece Le Galaxie plus special guests.

Three Band Showcase @ The Workman’s Club.

Presenting: BLESS.SISTERAY and The Clockworks.

Bless and Sisteray, two of London’s upcoming bands present a night of classic rock’n’roll. Joining them are Punk four-piece The Clockworks.

Crowbar 

Presenting: Paddy Hanna w/ Spongebob Eyelashes.

Girls Rock Dublin Fundraiser

Presenting: Pillow Queens, Maria KellySub Motion and ROE.

A fundraiser in aid of their voluntary group, Girls Rock Dublin that runs camps and events, empowering women to discover their potential in music. The line-up is absolutely class, featuring four of the hottest acts in Dublin at the moment – you cannot miss this gig!

Otherkin @ The Bowery
