It’s time for one of the most wonderful events of the year to grace our TV screens again: Eurovision! The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual competition, giving European countries the opportunity to write and enter a song. To explain, each country representative performs their song. A combination of judge’s choice and public vote will determine who is chosen as the overall winner. In general, the competition showcases some exceptionally well-written songs which will definitely keep you entertained for the evening.

For the first time in five years (since 2013…*gulp*), Ireland have made it through the semi-finals and will now compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018! The excitement! Indeed, Ryan O’Shaughnessy has done it with his meaningful ballad, ‘Together’. Check it out below.

The ballad is based on the theme of unreturned love, whilst the stage production is carried by two male dancers. ‘Together’ is one of 25 songs competing in the final this Saturday night, the 12th of May. To conclude, the whole country are absolutely rooting for you Ryan and know you will do amazing!
